Bus Queensland will be welcoming an additional 7 brand-new Endeavour buses from Custom Denning to join their growing fleet. The Endeavour, Custom Denning’s route service low floor will serve as an enhancement to Bus Queensland’s current 145 strong bus fleet.
The Pulitano Group, a family-owned pioneer of the bus industry, provide transport services for the regions of TransLink’s Southern and Western regions, including Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Park Ridge, and Toowoomba and have done for over 40 years.
The decision for the Pulitano Group to partner with 7 new Endeavour buses from Australia’s oldest bus builder, Custom Denning (formerly known as Custom Bus) was significant because of the rich history between the two pioneering Australian businesses.
Paul Davies, National Network Manager for the Pulitano Group commented, “These 7 buses will be the first to be delivered as part of this replacement schedule and with the transition to zero emission buses rapidly approaching, we were cognisant that these are likely to be some of the last diesel buses that we buy.”
In 2020, the Pulitano Group selected Custom Denning as their supplier with the largest single order of 31 Endeavour bus models. The decision to choose Custom Denning came down to selecting a quality product from an Australian supplier, “we needed to ensure that the successful supplier of these vehicles has a long-term commitment in the Australian market and to our business, so that in 20 years’ time, when these vehicles are at the end of their life, we will still have the support we need to keep them on the road” Paul explained.
The Endeavour is one of Custom Denning’s most reliable city bus models and has been designed for a dynamic service life of over 25 years. The 2 door low floor buses are built on a Volvo B8RLE
E6 chassis and include striking headlights, large destination board, chamfered removable rear corners, LED taillights, aluminium powder coated interior A/C panels, ergonomically designed drivers’ area, additional noise reduction and a host of other features.
