Custom Denning is proud to announce a significant milestone in Australia's electric transportation journey with the launch of its 150th bus.This latest model is the second-generation Element 2 Electric bus, Australian Designed, Engineered and Manufactured Locally featuring cutting-edge technology, including an advanced electric motor and lithium-ion NMC batteries. The Element 2 is available in a 4.5 or 6 battery configuration.
Body Specifications:
- Length: 12.0 meters
- Width: 2.5 meters
- Seating Capacity: 41 (plus 28 standees) in the 5-battery configuration
- Body Structure: Made from from EN 1.4003 stainless steel, with aluminium side panels and detachable fiberglass skirts.
- Front and Rear: Constructed from fiberglass in a three-piece design.
- Lighting: LED Lighting including headlamps.
Electrical Drive System:
- Electric Drive Motor: ZF Cetrax with 300 kW power and 4500 Nm torque.
- Battery: Lithium-ion NMC with a total capacity of 382 kWh (five 76 kWh batteries).
- Optional 6 x battery system offering 456kW. (Standard with Pantograph configuration).
- Charging System: Equipped with a CCS2 combined charging plug, Element also presents the customer with options for near side and offside rear or near side rear with Pantograph.

- Front and Rear Axles: ZF RL82A and ZF AV133.
- Brakes: Knorr Bremse with wear sensors.
- Steering System: Hydraulic power steering with a ZF hydraulic pump.
