As we welcome 2025 and Term 1 of the school year commences, there's no better time to talk about why we're so excited about the Custom Denning Element 2 buses. These incredible vehicles are revolutionising city services everywhere, but even more so with school transport, thanks to their cutting-edge safety features and amazing technology!
First off, let's talk safety. The Element 2 is equipped with AVAS, Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System, which emits a warning sound at lower speeds, ensuring pedestrians are aware of the approaching bus. Talk about peace of mind for parents and schools!
But that's not all – the tech on these buses is seriously impressive. The Element 2 is powered by a state-of-the-art electric drive system, featuring a ZF CeTrax motor that delivers an impressive 300 kW of power. This means a smooth, quiet ride that's also environmentally friendly. No more noisy, black smoke polluting buses disrupting the neighbourhood!
The Element 2 isn't just about safety and tech – it's designed with comfort in mind too. With seating for up to 41 passengers and space for 28 standees, there's plenty of room for everyone. The low-floor design with its flat floor to the rear, meeting DDA compliance, makes it easy for all students to hop on and off, especially those with mobility challenges.
The High Voltage Air Conditioning adds to the comfort, ensuring all passengers are kept cool during summer, and warm during winter, and the large windows provide plenty of visibility for all on board.
